How to Get Assistance
Once you've made your appointment, call DCAF's helpline and leave a voicemail. Be sure to include:
- your name
- your phone number
- how many weeks pregnant you are
- the date of your doctor’s appointment
- whether or not it is okay for us to leave you a voicemail
A highly trained case manager will return your call within 24 hours. After a case manager determines that you are eligible for DCAF funds, they can pledge funding assistance accordingly. Note that a DCAF case manager may call you back from a blocked number.
If you are a D.C. resident you also have the option of completing the intake process online using the D.C. Resident Online Intake Form. This is a secure form. Your privacy is of vital importance, and your information will not be shared outside of DCAF.
